Blank Page Awards

Fall 2014

Rules

Here are the rules for the awards. They’re pretty simple, but you should pay attention to all of them.

Nominations
There are no limits on content or genre. Any genre — het, slash or cest — is welcome here.

Unless otherwise specified, stories may be any length and may be completed or in progress.

Stories should be new and available online, preferably publicly and not through the Wayback machine.

Please provide a working URL for each story you nominate and the author’s name.

For the original character categories, please provide the character’s name.

You may nominate yourself, but do not nominate the same story more than once per category (exceptions can be made for the original character categories).

You can, however, submit as many nominations as you like (multiple nominations in a single form or multiple forms).

You do not have to submit a nomination in every category, although it is preferred.

If more than ten nominations are received for a category, those receiving the most nominations will be the ones entering the competition.

If a category receives less than three nominations, it will not be available for voting.

Voting
Vote for the story you think best fits the category it was nominated in.

You may only vote once. The form is set up to reject multiple votes from the same person. Anyone who is found trying to get around that will not have any of their votes counted.

Fill out the voting form completely. You must vote in every category or you won’t be able to submit your votes at all.

Awards will be given for first, second and third place in each category. Votes are not weighted; the story/person receiving the most votes wins.

There will be a tiebreaker round if necessary. If ties persist after that, there may be multiple winners for each place. Not all stories in the initial round will be in the tiebreaker.

Above all else — have fun! 🙂
